The pharmacist is the often overlooked gatekeeper in drug distribution and can make a difference in how your product is accepted in the marketplace. Communicate well with the pharmacist and your product sales will benefit. Pharmacists can impact the brand chosen, and typically interact closely with PBMs and assure the customer gets any pricing benefits entitled to him/her. Consumers appreciate the pharmacist's role and specialized knowledge about drugs. They seek a pharmacist's counsel on side effects, food/drug interactions and basic compliance with dosage and frequency.

Compliance and Persistency (C&P) Programs
Make sure the customer takes the drug correctly, and completes the full prescription. For chronic asymptomatic diseases the pharmacist and C&P communication programs can make a large difference in the amount of product purchased by the patient population.

In store communications
A strong in-store support program helps your pharmacist inform your consumers.
